I have got a chance to take a break and work on my blog. It's been a crazy summer for me so far. I've finally got to sit down and breathe for a second. I've been constantly traveling and writing my book off and on. Being in different cities every week can be so exhausting and living out of my suitcase is not as glamorous as it sounds.
With that being said, I have an old friend by the name of Marie. We have been friends since we were 12 years old. She has been a physical therapist for a few years. She came over this week to give me a massage in my own home. She brought all her own oils, candles, incense, music, equipment, etc.--it was wonderful! I couldn't believe it!
I feel that I am nonstop and she discussed the benefits of massage to my lifestyle. It can really help with anxiety, headaches, and releasing muscle tension. Releasing the stress allowed me to really clear my mind and focus on my next upcoming projects. It made me step back for a moment and realize that we all need a mental and physical break. Sometimes we feel that we need to just "go-go-go" all the time, but we will run ourselves into the ground and exhaust ourselves. I was so thankful that she reminded me of this to really give the body a rest.
Marie will be working at her new spa in Los Angeles soon, and will have a website up in August. She also does postpartum care for mothers. I was so impressed with her as she explained the process. I never realized that mothers need as much care afterbirth as the baby. She told me that she'd like to mine. I told her of course. I wouldn't have anyone else do it. Though I told her I will not be getting pregnant for a long time and there are no plans in the foreseeable future. (hehe!)
I am so happy for her. I hope everyone will have the chance to check her practices out and what she has to offer. I will definitely share her information and booking once she gets that set up. She is wonderful! I am proud friend.
